If you are using an automatic oscillating knife cutter, this article may help you by showing you how to install a felt conveyor belt in detail.
1. Place the felt in the automatic feeding cutting machine
Pass the felt through the bottom roller of the automatic cutting machine, and place the serrations at both ends of the felt on one side of the cutting table to facilitate subsequent bonding.
2. Align the two ends of the felt
After aligning the felt, we use a heavy object to press the serrations at both ends of the felt belt to prevent slippage.
3. Apply glue
Apply glue (LOCTITE 498) evenly around the serrations at both ends of the felt. Note: When applying glue, put some paper underneath to prevent the glue from leaking to the countertop and blocking the air intake.
4. Align the serrations and glue them
After the glue is applied, align the teeth on both sides and press them in until they are flat.
5. Make sure the serrations are aligned neatly
Be sure to make sure that the teeth and the teeth are neatly butted to prevent deviation after the joint.
6. Hot pressing to complete the bonding
Put the extra-long Teflon cloth (high-temperature resistance) we provided under the serrated joint, and adjust the industrial iron to 180 degrees for preheating. After preheating, place a rectangular Teflon cloth under the iron on the teeth Iron back and forth.
7. Trim the flatness of the felt surface
We recommend using something hard to help us remove the glue residue on the surface of the felt and make the saw teeth neat.
8. Fasten the edge of the felt
Glue the randomly equipped edge sealing cloth to the left and right sides of the joint, and press it with an iron.
The above is the whole process of the felt conveyor belt installation, isn’t it easy! Come and try it yourself!
